Virginia Executive Mansion

Our firm was commissioned to restore the exterior of the Executive Mansion in Richmond to its 1813 appearance.  We conducted extensive historic investigation, including archival research and analysis of similar residences by the Mansion’s architect, Alexander Paris, to determine the nature and location of original architectural elements.  The project involved: fabrication and installation of cast decorative wall panels between the first and second floors, which had been previously removed; reinstallation of the cornice and porch balustrades; replacement of the slate roof; masonry tuck-pointing; and, after paint analysis, a return to the Mansion’s original color scheme.
