Ashley LeFew Falwell AIA NCARB
Project Architect
Ashley joined Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects in 2013 with impressive credentials: in-depth experience with large-scale higher ed projects at Hanbury, a Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Architectural History with a Studio Art double major from the University of Virginia.
At DGP, Ashley plunged into the multiyear design, coordination, and construction administration of Ivy Creek, a significant and highly detailed Albemarle County estate featured in Southern Home magazine. She has been the project lead on a diverse range of work, including the renovation and expansion of a 19th century estate residence, the entry master plan for a school campus in Jacksonville, Florida, and the new tasting room at Merrie Mill Farm and Vineyard. Ashley enjoys working with clients to understand the unique needs of each project. She creates refined sketches and watercolor renderings that bring architectural plans to life throughout the design process. In all projects, her goal is to orchestrate beautiful and thoughtful work that owners, builders, and the design team will be excited to collaborate on, proud to complete, and eager to maintain.
In addition to project work, Ashley enthusiastically contributes to the office’s social media, awards submissions, and recruiting efforts. She also extends Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects’ involvement into the community through her volunteer pursuits. In 2022, Ashley joined the board of the Virginia Discovery Museum after completing pro bono design work for two gallery renovations spanning the prior eight years. Through AIA Virginia, she serves on both the Emerging Leaders Local Organizing Committee and the Member Services Advisory Council.
