Jackson River House

Our clients, avid anglers and hunters, fell in love with the possibilities offered by this property on the Jackson River in Bath County, Virginia.  Their dream was to create a warm and relaxing compound where family and friends could gather to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.  Nestled into a hill overlooking the River, the new house hearkens back to the 1800s by virtue of its elegantly proportioned interior spaces and finely crafted woodwork.  At the clients’ request, Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects appointed the new home with thoughtfully procured collections to appear as though the furnishings had evolved over many years.
